South Fork Kern 1&2

Description

South Fork Kern 1&2 covers the SF Kern between Lake Isabella and Rockhouse basin. Shows camping areas, trails, and creeks. Special Features are the Hatch Chart, Fishing Season and Regulations, and Stream Etiquette guidelines.

Prime seasons to fish South Fork Kern 1&2 is during the Spring and Early Summer. The streams get thin by late Summer and Fall. Rockhouse Basin to Rockhouse Meadow contains Rainbows and Browns 8-13. The stream also has Black Crappie, Carp, and Sacramento Pike Minnow. There is no established trail below Rockhouse Meadow, so you follow the river to reach Manter and Taylor Creek. This section has Browns and Rainbows 8-13″, the creeks near their headwaters have Brookies.
