Stainless Steel Whip Finisher

Description

The Stainless Steel Whip Finisher is a Matarelli style finisher by Dr. Slick. It is considered a world standard design for whip finishers and can provide quick neat fly heads.  Frank Matarelli received the patent on this design in 1974 and continued to make the tools for over 40 years. Frank passed away in 2018 at the age of 102 yrs. The whip finish is used to complete a fly tying off the head with the “whip finish knot”.  Many tyers can preform this knot without the aid of a tool but for most people the Stainless Steel Whip Finisher is the way to produce great results every time you tie a fly.
